We want to send out a very heartfelt thank you to this little girl. Haley decided instead of getting birthday presents she wanted donation to be given to BDF. She took all the donation money she received and bought equipment from our Amazon Wishlist. She is an amazing example of selflessness and grace, and shows just how simple it can be even at such a young age. Haley is such a blessing and has such a big heart. Thank You Haley!
Terrapin’s sixth annual Chili Cook-off on Friday, September 25 had a great turnout despite the dreary weather. Everyone was in great spirits—many people even went out of their way to help with our set-up. Though BDF didn’t win the competition, we had an amazing time.
BDF’s 2015 5K was the most successful one yet. We saw a great turnout from BDF students and families and members of the Athens community. All of our participants had a wonderful time, and as always, the runners in the Lap of Love were the most energetic group of the day. It is so much fun to watch youth from both our program and the community come together for a dash around the parking lot. We were so appreciative of the runners, families, and friends who stayed after the race to cheer on our competitors.
