Volunteer Training Sessions are required for all new volunteers and are held periodically throughout the year. The sessions are held at BDF and will last around 90 minutes and cover: basic horse handling, side-walking, safety and farm rules. Volunteers are needed to help with therapy sessions and daily chores. Email bdfwatkinsville@gmail.com for more information.
To secure your spot in an upcoming training session, please email the address above before the next session. Prior to the training day, please watch the volunteer videos, print out the four forms below and fill in all pertinent information.
We require background checks for all volunteers. For the background check you will need to provide a filled out form (see link below), a copy of your driver’s license, and $2. We submit the forms to a local sheriff.
